The Last of the Warm Days...

Dear Summer,
Why do you have to be so short? I will miss you and all the fun that you bring...
This weekend I had more fun than have had in a long time. Friday I came home from school and hung out with my family and my boyfriend, Riley. Saturday Riley and I went up to Midway and Kailee's cabin with Kailee and her boyfriend Jonny and the rest of Kailee's family to go to Swiss days.

On Monday we decided to do the slip and slide to sort of say goodbye to summer. It was super super fun.

And the best part about this weekend was that I got to spend it with my family, my best friend, and my boyfriend.

A Quick Trip to the Hospital

So, for the past couple of weeks my lower back ( and by lower back i mean my tail bone area) has been really hurting. it's happened before and my chiropractor told me that it was tendinitis. This time it was progressively getting worse, so i went to the doctor. it took him about 3 seconds to know that it wasn't tendinitis at all. it turned out to be a pilonidal cyst. not even lying. So, i went along my merry way for about two days and then the pain was so bad i couldn't even get out of bed to go to work. My mom took me to the ER where they decided to drain all the infection out of it. They gave me a shot in my hip for pain, as well as local anesthesia, but even with that the pain was so bad that it was hard for me to stay conscious. I was pail and started to sweat and shake all over, so after the little procedure they hooked me up to an IV for about a half an hour, until i felt better. For the sake of everyone keeping their lunches in there stomachs i won't go into anymore detail, we'll just say it was an adventure which i hope never to embark on again.

Home Again, Home Again Jiggidy Jig

YAY! I am finally finished with my first year of college. It was a great experience and I learned more than I ever thought I would... but I am SO happy to be home! The actual move, however, I was NOT a fan of... you'll see why by the pictures. You'll also see a picture of a quilt that my adorable mom made for me with my old t-shirts. I absolutely LOVE it! I am also happy to report that I got a job. No, it is not the most glamorous job I can imagine, but I just feel lucky to have one. I am working at Big Lots in American Fork. Woohoo! Other than that there isn't much new for my summer. I'm going to the single's ward, which is just a....... new(?) experience. So as you can see, I have no complaining to do. Summer is amazing, I love spening time with my besties again, and hopefully will make some new friends :)

Spring Break

Spring break was absolutely incredible! It was just what I needed. I did nothing that I didn't want to do. So basically that means I just played with my friends the whole time. :) I slept at Kailee's house for about half the time, and she slept at mine the other half. We spent most of our time watching movies, taking random pictures, and NOT thinking about school. It was the best!

I also had my second experience of slack lining with Mike and Josh. I wasn't very good at all, but they were awesome! .....and Kailee was just being her cute crazy self :)sdfsdf

24 hours

When our stake president announced a Book of Mormon Marathon spread over 3 days, Heather, Milly, Kayt and I all decided to go... for the whole time. Although we were there the entire time, I confess we didn't stay awake the whole time...

Kailee joined us whenever she could, and we finally finished at 9:00 on Saturday night. Needless to say, I was looking pretty cute after being at the church from 6:00 to 9:30 straight that day.

Contrary to what the pictures show, we really did actually read the Book of Mormon for the majority of the time :)

Late Night Road Trip

Ok...so, do you want to know the definition of spontaneity? Driving from Logan to Ogden at 11:00. And that's exactly what my roommates and I did this weekend. On the way through sardine canyon this red Grand Am was being ridiculous and cutting us off and trying to get us to race and not letting us pass and whatever... so brave little Heather called Highway Patrol Dispatch! way to keep the streets safe Heath! So anyway, once we got lost, and then found ourselves and finally got to Ogden we stayed there until one thirty mini golfing in BlAck LigHts! super super cool... THEN at 1:30 we decided to continue on to Tooele instead of going back to Logan. But the adventure didn't end there. We got to Tooele around 2:40 and stopped at Meredith's family's donut/bagel shop. We got to eat the freshest, most delicious donuts ever made! I can't even describe it... Anyway we originally went there to see her dad who usually gets there around 3:00... which he did... After her dad got there we decided to wait for some fresh bagels. That was a brilliant, beyond brilliant idea. then Milly's dad found that the freezer wasn't working! (That is not a good thing when you have a bakery to open in approximately 2 hours...) so we ran speedy quick to the local Walmart to buy an extension cord. Then we waited around the bakery- I can't quite remember why- until around 5:00. at that time we went to Kayt's house and crashed in her basement. We got up around 9:30 to the wonderful aroma of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and hash browns! pure joy. (thank you Kayt's mom!!) and if you think our adventure was finished... think again! Kayt's mom has this tradition of painting hay bales seasonally... and so Kayt convinced her to let us help her paint it with the Utah State symbol. I won't even try to explain how awesome it turned out. finally we headed home.... needless to say we slept pretty much the rest of the day...
